Rumours are rife, and people are blaming recent development on the Newcastle foreshore for this recent warning, with others believing the town to be cursed! Many people have become hysterical on talk back radio, especially the ill, elderly and lonely, as they are confused about the predictions currently being talked about.
You have interviewed a local Scientist, and it is now time to present your news special which will be screened tonight. You have a ten minute segment to provide your public with answers.
You will need to prepare
3 clear paragraphs for your public that must detail-
1. The real causes of Earthquakes as you understand them;
2. Steps for preparation you deem as important, and a list of contacts if help is needed.
3. Details of your new Earthquake warning system.(How will it sound?, what will it look like?)
You have developed a new warning system (under the guidance of the Scientist) that will now alert the public about the potential threat and magnitude of future Earthquakes. The public understand the Tsaumi warning system, but it is up to you to explain how this new Earthquake warning system will work.
You will need to calm your public with the facts and remind them that this is only predicted to be a small Earthquake, not a repeat of the 1989 event.
